We have been dancing Charleston and Lindy Hop for 10 weeks, taking group classes and private lessons with Jason at The Lindy Lab. I wrote and recorded a new song called “Ace” that I sang with Brandy Parker — and then we danced to it! Listen to and download the song here: http://brandyparker.com/?page_id=495
We took 4 weeks of group classes and 2 weeks of private lessons from Jason Sager — 6 weeks total — at the Lindy Lab (http://www.thelindylab.com/) and wanted to create a video of what we have learned so far! The song is an original duet called “Love Letter” written by Lodge McCammon and sang by Lodge and Brandy Parker. Listen/download the song here: http://brandyparker.com/?page_id=471
This is an amazing young multi-instrumentalist (ukulele, guitar, piano, violin) and singer out of the Chicago area named Kelsey Murray. Here she is performing a song I wrote for her called Dull Case.

Download: Shut Up.mp3
Stop preaching to my friends
About political crimes
I think they know it
Vent to someone else this time
You sound so bitter
The trick is not to show it
Compliment - don’t criticize the evidence
So stop preaching from
The safe side of your radical fence
Chorus:
That’s tough
Starting over yea that’s tough
You might be starting over and that’s rough
Ok I’m thinking it over
It would be better if you just shut up
Shut up
Don’t tell me what to wear
I have a style
So don’t pretend you know it
How can you stand right over there
And shake your head at me
Yea, you’re not below it
Every mood - parading as confidence
So don’t suggest the things I wear
Be tighter or less
It won’t take long - I need clean air
You’ll come home - I won’t be there
I, I, I - I won’t even care
Stop biting on my tongue
You do it regular
Yea, I tend to notice
Laugh - laugh yea all you want
I take for granted that you feel
It’s time to show it
Compliment - don’t criticize our permanence
And stop loving from
The safe, pathetic side of your fence
